History of Pragati – A 25 Years Journey
Pragati – Academy of Art & Culture was founded with the dream of creating a meaningful platform for artists, students, and art lovers. From the very beginning, the aim of Pragati has been to promote art, encourage creativity, and build a strong artistic community.
In its early years, Pragati started organizing small art exhibitions and cultural activities in Kolkata. These programmes created opportunities for artists to present their work and interact with other creative people. Gradually, the activities of Pragati expanded and began attracting artists from different parts of India and Bangladesh.
With dedication and continuous effort, Pragati grew into an active center for art and cultural exchange. Over the years, it has organized numerous art exhibitions, seminars, workshops, art camps, art residencies, and cultural programmes, bringing together artists from different backgrounds and artistic traditions.
A significant step in the journey of Pragati was the establishment of the Pragati Art School, which provides both offline and online art classes. The Art School aims to guide young students and art enthusiasts, helping them develop their artistic skills and creative confidence.
